After the sale of WhatsApp to Facebook in 2014 the application is continuously evolving and bringing more and more new features for its users exceeding one billion till date. WhatsApp Web was formally announced in January 2015 by Jan Koum co-founder of WhatsApp.
At first WhatsApp Web was only accessible to Android, BlackBerry, and Windows Phone users and then later on they further support for iOS. WhatsApp Web does not work autonomously but supplements to your cell phone screen.
WhatsApp now working on two new features for WhatsApp Web, containing Albums and Grouped Stickers according to WABetaInfo.
WhatsApp Album feature will cluster photos and videos in a single chat bubble, which avoids space on the chat screens of your laptop or desktop monitor subsequently it will be stress-free to forward them to your loved ones with a single tap. In addition users will be able to delete images and videos in bulk by selecting the bubble.
Second new feature WhatsApp is developing for WhatsApp Web is Grouped Stickers which is broadening of Albums. This feature will allow users to easily group two or more stickers in a row on WhatsApp Web and forward them at once to other contacts.
WhatsApp has also announced fingerprint lock support for its Android users (read our article on it).
No final release date for the public has been announced as WhatsApp is in the phase of developing these features however, testing in beta versions means users can expect them sooner than anticipated.
