Karachi is a massive metropolitan city hosting approximately more than 20 million people from all over Pakistan. A city, also known as Mini-Pakistan provides massive revenues to our country. People from all over the country come here to be among the most civilized population in the country, as a result, the population of this city is blasting day by day and creating several problems on hand.
The crises with Karachi city are already posing maniac concerns to its administration, ranging from water, gas, electricity, and unplanned settlements to the endless necessities for schools, hospitals, most importantly and neglectfully the issue of sewerage alongside garbage disposal.
If you are living in Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta or in any other big city of the country and you have decided to visit Karachi then there are chances that you will definitely visit the beaches of this country available in this city only, as compared to the other shores of the country located in different cities of Baluchistan that are still in development stage.
Once you have decided to relish the vacations on one of the several spots of shorelines in Karachi you will unquestionably be having difficulties to dump your litter, in addition, you will witness the shores with loads of trash left behind by the picnic goers after having a great time.
People always criticize the amount of waste this city produces on daily basis especially that does not go to its actual place which would be the dumping grounds.
On July 24, 2019, we come across an initiative taken by the Cantonment Board Clifton (CBC) to put in enormous but attractive trash bins that look like a giant fish. These trash bins are not only massive in size but also attractive and easy to place near beaches where people can effortlessly throw their trash without any hesitation.
CBC will take care of these newly installed and good looking trash bins as the area of Clifton falls under the administration of CBC. People who would visit the Sea View picnic side must use these for solid wastes to protect the environment from both outside and inside the ocean.
Furthermore, to dispose-off waste and stop it from scattering in the nearby streets and on busy road, officials of the Cantonment Board Clifton (CBC) have also placed dustbins in different blocks of the sea view community, so that public of the area are able to throw their apartments’ waste on daily basis in these dustbins carefully.
Moreover, CBC officials have announced to put dustbins in areas under its control to encourage healthy surroundings. In this regard, CBC is organizing an awareness movement so that every individual may play its role in the hygiene efforts of the board. The waste cast off in these waste bins will be carried by its teams to the dumping sites.
Last but not least, people have already started to use those bins as a public picnic place and people can be seen having fun from inside and outside those bins.
