Marvel Sins: They might be planning to kill another fan favorite MCU character

Tony Stark aka Iron Man is long gone and fans still aren’t ready to accept this fate of their favorite MCU character. Although Robert Downey Jr. will probably be making a return as an AI version of Tony Stark. Fans know that now Captain America is retired and they are getting ready once again to bid farewell to their favorite female action hero and Avenger Natasha Romanoff, when Black Widow eventually hits theaters. At this time the rumor mill is running at its peak and there are gossips that Nick Fury’s time could be winding up on the other hand Hawkeye has been reduced to a supporting character in a Disney Plus series.

When the events in Avengers Endgame unfolded it has then become clear that MCU is ready to move from heroes that regarded as the pioneer of Marvel Cinematic Universe. Fans now have to watch the new heroes in faces like the Eternals, Shang-Chi, Blade and possibly even the Young Avengers on the way. It sum-up that the mainstream original Avengers have been left in the rear-view mirror.

Now who’s left except the Thor and Hulk as the last two standing, and while Thor the God of Thunder will be the first Avenger to get a 4th solo movie, Hulk aka Bruce Banner’s future isn’t quite so clear. Universal studios still have the rights for Hulk films, from this notion we can easily deduce that the big guy can only be used as a supporting role hero.

According to some sources Mark Ruffalo is all set to have a recurring role in She-Hulk, one that will eventually see him being killed off in a future season as he sacrifices himself to defend cousin Jennifer Walters from the Red Hulk. Mark Ruffalo has hinted in the past that where he wants to take the character in the future, but considering the overall state of affairs one can now assume that like many of the other Phase One Avengers, he too could be running on borrowed time.

It is uncertain yet when this would happen, but it sounds like Hulk has at least a few MCEU appearances left before it happens. This will grant Ruffalo his wish that the Hulk act as an onscreen mentor to one of the newest members of the franchise, but it also allows the studio to remove another Phase 1 Marvel from the arena. This would make room for new heroes to step up to the Avengers arena and certainly makes sense after it was revealed that She-Hulk is set to become a key member of the Avengers in the future.
