Logan Paul wears Charizard Pokémon card around his neck entering the ring before bout with Floyd Mayweather.
A prized fighter and a YouTuber fought in an eight-round exhibition bout. There was no winner, unfortunately. No one got knocked-out. But as usual Mayweather controlled much of the fight.
Fighters used to wear elaborated costumes and markings before entering fighting ring just to put havoc on their opponents, like Bernard Hopkins wearing an executioner’s mask.
On Sunday night, YouTube personality Logan Paul entered the ring for his fight with retired welterweight king Floyd Mayweather with a Charizard Pokémon card in a case around his neck.
Crowd termed Paul’s entrance as the best part of the fight, which went the full scheduled eight-rounds and ended without a knock-out.

About the Card
This wasn’t your average Pokémon card, though. The first edition, Beckett-graded 10 (pristine) Charizard is said to be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars — and one of three of its kind.
It’s a good thing, though, because Paul said he spent $150,000 on a Pokémon card last year and the value of the Pokémon cards has risen.
Paul seemed more interested in talking about the card than his opponent after the festivities at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
“It’s a BGS 10 Charizard, first edition Charizard. It’s one of three in the world. It is my prized possession,” Paul said.
“Ever since I got this graded at a ten, the momentum in my life has been crazy. It’s my good luck charm.”
