Prediction from Sportbible.com
‘Winner’
Lionel Messi
“So it’s hardly an earth-shattering prediction, but would anybody really feel comfortable betting AGAINST Messi winning taking home the prize for a record-breaking sixth time? Could his old rival Ronaldo beat him to the punch yet again, or is this the year that the academy finally breaks with tradition and awards a defender the top prize for the first time since 2006 when Fabio Cannavaro took home the prize? ”
